Vassili Davidenko

Vassili Davidenko brings more than 24 years of bicycle racing experience to the team, having competed on the U.S.-based Navigators Insurance Cycling Team from 1999-2006 and the Italian squads of Kross-Montanari-Selle Italia (1997), Roslotto-ZG Mobili (1996) and Navigare-Blue Storm (1993-1996) during 14 seasons as a professional.

He is a former Russia national road (1996) and cyclocross (1998) champion and was a silver medalist in the 1988 Junior World Road Race Championships, as well as a member of his country’s 1996 Olympic team in Atlanta. He considers his career highlight, though, to be back-to-back wins in the prestigious Athens Twilight Criterium in Georgia in 2005 and 2006.

In 2007, he served as operations manager under sport director Ed Beamon on the Navigators Insurance squad. Counting racing and management, the pair has worked together the past nine seasons.

He and his wife, Janna, have a son, Maximilian and daughter, Elisabeth. Vassili has dual citzenship; USA/RUS.
