Every March, Team Type 1 mobilizes the diabetes community and converges upon the Georgia State Capitol to advocate for policy change that will benefit Georgia’s diabetes community and educate state legislators on the diabetes care issues that impact us every day.
- Teenagers with diabetes serve as pages in both the House of Representatives and Senate
- Team Type 1 representatives address the House of Representatives and the Senate at the start of the day’s session
- Over lunch, educational tracks are offered to the pages, parents of children with diabetes, and adults living with diabetes
- Members of the diabetes industry are on-site to answer your questions about insulin pumps, CGM, and more
